Welcome to Jodene's Kid Music Books

"Zoom Beep Beep, Cars & Trucks" is an entertaining book that has active scenes, street signs and a rhythm you can't get out of your head.  Young children can see their favorite cars and trucks enlarged and in identifiable fun settings.  Their little fingers enjoy following the winding roads to different destinations while simple words help to promote phonic awareness.  "Zoom Beep, Beep Cars & Trucks" can be used as a teaching tool in the classroom and by children for interactive glee.  It also comes with a musical CD that contains the "Zoom Beep, Beep" tune that I created to go along with the book.

        I have built one of these books to use for my preschool children and their response has been, "Do it again Ms. Jodene!"  My website includes a classroom experience where you can observe the children participating with the book.

        As a professional children's singer/songwriter and a preschool teacher for over 16 years, I was inspired to create this book by the young boys in my class.  Their enthusiasm for different kinds of vehicles never ends.  I am an extremely creative person who can capture and entertain young children on many subjects.  Other topics I have chosen for rhythm/picture books include:  "Mr. Octopus and Wally Wally Walrus"  and  "The Fruit Fairies."  These are just a few of the future products I would like to publish.  I have also done extensive reading of and about children picture books.  I am an SCBWI member and have studied writing and illustrating picture books with Dr. Mira Reisberg.
